About Tony Nikolakopoulos
Tony’s feature film credits include the highly acclaimed Head On, Alex and Eve, The Independent, West of Sunshine, Dream of a Shadow, Joe Cinque’s Concolation, Predestination, Space Travel, Big Mammas Boy, The Kings of Mykonos, The Extra, Tom White, The Wannabes, Kangaroo Jack, The Wog Boy along with various others.
Among some of Tony’s many television credits are Wentworth, Hopelessly devoted to you, Fancy Boy, Here come the Habibs, The Time of our Lives, fat Tony and Co., Offspring, The Doctor Blake series, Killing Time, Rush, Tangle, Lowdown, Please Like Me, east West 101, All Saints, The Pacific, City Homicide, Reef Doctors, Small time gangster, Rush, Kick, The Glenmore Job, Underbelly, Kick, Pirate Island, Little Oberon (telemovie), Jason, Holly’s Heroes, Scooter: Secret Agent, The Brush Off, Stingers, White Collar Blue TV Movie, The Murray Wheelan Series, Blue Heelers, Fat Pizza, State Coroner, Sea Change, Janus and Embassy.
Making his MTC debut in August: Osage County, followed by Hamlet and more recently Astroman. National tour of acclaimed production of ‘Café Rebetika’, Tony has appeared on stage in The Spook (Malthouse) plus one more???????, Wog Story (national tour Thirdcosta Productions), Roulette: Theo & Terri (Ranters Theatre, including seasons in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Portugal), Court Yard of Miracles (State Theatre Company of South Australia), Honeymoon in Hellas, Wog and his Mates (National Tour), Waiting for Godot.
He has also appeared in a score of short films : Sad Sachs, Theodores Gift, Match, The Rack and the Screw, Mothers Day, Absence, Joey, Exit, Bad Language, Imprint, 296 Smith St, Forged, The Drop, Alice, Magda, Nameday, The Director.Drop
He has directed over one hundred productions Stage school Australia, Victorian Youth Theatre and for his own production company KT Productions.
Acting and drama lecturer/Teacher at Deakin University and Melbourne University, VCA School of Film and TV and School of Drama currently.
